Joseph Kony and The US Economy

After all is said and done, the movement by the Invisible Children to bring awareness to the world about Joseph Kony boils down to one thing; money.  You can purchase an action kit from the Invisible Children for $32, 10% of that actually goes to directly helping the cause in Uganda (the rest pays their salaries).  Don't get suckered in by the emotional garbage that the video is feeding you.  Kony hasn't even been in Uganda since 2006 (the last time the LRA was even active).  Who do you think will go in to save the day like they have in every other country?  The American Government.  What could possibly entice the American Government to step in on Uganda's behalf?  Gold, copper, magnesium, uranium and lots of it.

Behold the viral Kony video that has almost hit 40 million views in a VERY short amount of time.  I don't want to burst your empathetic bubble, but liking or sharing the video on Facebook does not mean you care about the people in Uganda.  You're about 10 years too late on that one.

Wake up....

Realize you're being played.....

And if you really want to make a change...get off your overpriced computer chair and do something about it.

Until next time,
